Peace

‘Ego says ‘Once everything falls into place, I’ll feel peace’.  Spirit says ‘Find your peace, then everything will fall into place’.

Marianne Williamson

Christmas is coming along with messages wishing us joy and peace.

What can you do to find peace this Christmas? Do you in any way struggle to let things be?

We all know that the only thing that is certain in life is change. So, how do you find a sense of peace when life is rapidly changing?

We find it within our self. We find peace when we accept our self, every little bit of our self, the beauty and the beast, if you like. Once we accept our self, it’s easier to accept those around us, and the world around us, knowing that it has its rhythm and that it is forever changing.

We find it when we let go of any need to control, when we trust in the process of life, accepting that things happen as and when they are meant to. Our experiences are neither good nor bad, they are simply part of the rich tapestry of life, each offering us learning.

We find it when we learn to manage our thoughts and emotions, letting go of judgement and learning to respond, not react, to situations. When we let go of any war going on in our head, when we let go of old hurts, and any worries about the future. When we find the stillness within.

What is the piece within you that once accepted will bring you peace and find that everything falls into place? Often if we tend to control things, we forget what is at the heart of who we are, our Essential Nature.

What do you need to do to let things be? Is there someone or some situation in life you could accept? Perhaps your self? A wise man once told me – “If you sat for five minutes and accepted that you’ve been who you’ve been because that’s who you felt you needed to be, then all would be well”.
