About Glynis

As a certified mentor, coach and trainer, I help clients who have lost their sense of identity to find their self.

Initially working with people to understand and move beyond any emotional fear, I now offer a mentoring service helping you to find who you are, know what you are capable of and create a vision of who you can become… to consider possibilities!

Brought up in a small working class community in Scotland, I moved to London as a single girl to develop a career in the financial services world before relocating to Hong Kong as a newly married woman where we brought up two children, who are now developing careers in Tokyo and Dubai. More recently I spent time in Australia and New Zealand, and in 2021 moved to Vanuatu in the South Pacific where I now live.

Moving countries introduced me to change, and, having experienced a fair amount of change in other areas of life, I understand how frightening it can be. Sometimes in the process you can feel as if you no longer know who you are so I like to help women find their sense of self, to discover who they really are.

As an expat wife, I travelled extensively. Later, I experienced divorce and the loss of an expat lifestyle…and survived! If this is you, I’d love to help you find who you are.

Workshop in Hong Kong
Mentoring in Cambodia

Passionate about learning and curious about people, curious to know how things work, I’ve been fortunate to travel to many places around the world and have enjoyed seeing how other people live.

I’ve supported the Harpswell Foundation in Phnom Penh, a charitable organisation providing education, housing, and leadership training for young women, mentoring the students on various personal challenges, including:

  • making the transition from one environment to another
  • managing any conflict between traditional family beliefs and different cultural expectations
  • recognising, understanding and managing different emotions, offering tools to help with conflict resolution
  • dealing with expectations and disappointment
  • finding a way to manage any overthinking, worry or self criticism.
