Choices – react or respond?

It’s easy to say we always have choice when it comes to how we show up in life… until you find yourself reacting!  So, it’s good to understand your emotional triggers and your judgements.

You might, for example, not want to be seen to be selfish, you judge that as being not ok. You try to be nice and find yourself agreeing to something you don’t want. You hide behind a smile, suppress your anger. You don’t want to be vulnerable and have a conversation, you want to avoid conflict. You just want to feel safe. Next thing you know, you’re on an emotional roller coaster.

You CAN change your habits, and, wake up the parts of you that have gone to sleep that enhance who you are. You CAN find within you what is true for you and discover how much more you are. You CAN find the confidence to get to where you want to be.

Freedom comes when you’re comfortable in your own skin. It’s about being who you are and how you feel. To get there, you need to be able to see all the masks that you wear and all the things that you thought were important until they were taken away …. that’s when you realise what is important, what is within you.
