Is it time to come home to your heart?

I don’t know how you’re finding things at the moment. For some of us, time seems to be moving so fast, there’s so much going on, so much to think about, your mind can take over and you end up feeling overwhelmed. It’s easy to forget that your heart is the place where you not only find peace, you find the answers … maybe not the ultimate outcome, but the first step, then the next.

The urge to fix

When you’re facing a challenge, the natural urge is to fix, to sort it, you just want to feel in control again. You want to know what’s happening, what to do next; you want to stop feeling afraid.

And, when it comes to personal development, you can work on your personality, your fears, desires, thought patterns, your energy, putting everything into boxes… and repeat the cycle endlessly. There’s perhaps the unspoken idea that the more you know, the more enlightened you will be. The oppositeIlm finding is true – the more you ‘unlearn’, the more you know, the more you get out of your head and into your heart, the deeper you go.

Not knowing

There’s a quiet gift in not knowing… when you don’t know what’s going to happen, anything is possible! When your mind dominates, the mystery and wonder in life is lost.

Your heart

Going into your heart offers guidance that comes from beyond your mind, from connecting to your inner wisdom.

Listening to that voice … it’s so much easier than listening to the noise in your head which can debate what’s right or wrong, worry about what others might think, second-guess all the what-if’s. Taking time to listen allows you to practise patience, to respond rather than react.
