When you take a risk and do something new, you make yourself vulnerable and through practising you gain self confidence. Of course, you might feel like a phony – that’s ok, you’re just practising!
Being vulnerable, it takes time getting used to being vulnerable. It’s about allowing another to know you for who you are, to see who you are at heart and you can do it little by little.
When it comes to letting someone see a weakness, what you fear, or expressing your true thoughts and feelings, your hopes and dreams, it can feel very uncomfortable, sometimes downright scary… and, the reward is intimacy, that opening up, that heart connection, the closeness that we all long for. And the honesty of it can bring you such a sense of freedom.
